Engineer's Degree diploma thesis, Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at WUT. Thesis consists of, in theoretical part, review of classical cryptography form threat of quantum computers point of view, introduction to quantum cryptography and characteristics of basic quantum key distribution schemes, and in practical part, characteristics of two QKD systems – one witch interferometric architecture and second based on quantum entanglement. On both systems series of tests were conducted allowing for description of QKD system parameters.
